Soft Light Home

A Residential Home Designed by Komorebi Pte Ltd

The client's love for art and music served as the inspiration for this design. The bare walls of Soft Light Home act as a canvas for the homeowners to display their favorite artwork and posters, adding a personal touch to the space. Additionally, the open concept layout allows music to be enjoyed throughout the entire home.

One of the standout features of Soft Light Home is the kitchen, positioned as a focal point visible from the living room. The built-in cabinetry in a rich burgundy tone adds a touch of sophistication and complements the dark wood used throughout the rest of the house.

The bathroom in Soft Light Home was designed to exude elegance. Tinted glass was installed as a barrier between the bathroom and other areas, providing partial privacy while adding a stylish element. The use of contrasting tile styles further enhances the overall aesthetic.

With unnecessary walls eliminated, the reconfigured interior of Soft Light Home seamlessly integrates the living, kitchen, dining, and study areas. Each zone is clearly demarcated through layered spaces, allowing for a smooth transition between areas while maintaining their distinct purposes.

This 3-bedroom apartment, completed in 2018, showcases the meticulous attention to detail and thoughtful design approach of Komorebi Pte Ltd. The consistent use of materials and color scheme throughout the house creates a sense of continuity and an extension of space. The white walls and light wood flooring contribute to an airy atmosphere, while the dark wood built-in carpentry adds a striking contrast.

Soft Light Home is a testament to the creativity and technical expertise of Komorebi Pte Ltd. By hacking walls and strategically introducing natural light, the once dimly-lit areas of the apartment are now flooded with light and positivity. This design has been recognized for its excellence and was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2019 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category.
